Hope Brown, Principal / Owner

Hope Brown, APR brings more than 14 years of PR agency experience in strategic communications planning and execution within a variety of industries, including health care, professional services and non-profit, to her role as principal at PublicCity PR.

Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Hope served as a director and health care practice group leader at Lambert, Edwards & Associates, a statewide public and investor relations firm (formerly known as John Bailey & Associates), where she worked for 11 years on a variety of accounts, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, DTE Energy and St. John Health, among numerous others.

Prior to her role at LE&A/JB&A, Hope began her career as an account executive with the public relations and marketing company, Marx Layne & Company.

Hope graduated with high honors from Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts degree in communications, and spent a summer semester abroad at the University of London. In 2006, Hope revisited her academic pursuits and earned her APR designation from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Hope currently serves on the Board of Directors of the PRSA Detroit Chapter and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Survival Center of Oakland County.

Hope and her husband, Jason, the founder of PublicCity PR, have two daughters and reside in Beverly Hills, Mich.
