Monica Cheick-Luoma, Account Director for PublicCity, is responsible for directing and managing media and community relations initiatives for the company’s clients as well as building new business.
Over the past 15 years, her career has bridged both the non-profit and public sectors. Monica brings extensive experience in communications, event management, media relations, marketing, promotions, collateral production, community relations and fundraising.
Previous to joining PublicCity, she managed communications, marketing and special events for several local companies including Forgotten Harvest. Ford Motor Company, Westborn Market, Festival of Trees – a benefit for Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Oakland County Drain Commission, The Detroit Institute for Children and The Arab-American & Chaldean Council.
She is a member of the Detroit and National Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America and the International Special Events Society.
Monica is a graduate of Wayne State University where she received a bachelor of arts degree in Communications – Public Relations. She resides in Harper Woods, Michigan with her collection of furry friends.
